“Oh crap,” said the hostess with the mostest who kind of forgot that the Super Bowl was this Sunday. Hey, it happens to the best of us! But that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the fun of hosting your own game day party. Take a look at some of our favorite last minute Super Bowl party décor options!

Table Tents

Table tents have a way of taking events to the next level and giving your guests the distinct impression that you planned your little butt off. Buy a pack or make your own. Use them to help your guests identify the delicious food items you’ve prepared or to guide them in their beverage options. (Signature cocktails are a must, like the “End Zone” cocktail we mixed up! Get the recipe here.)

Brown Paper Bags

Pre-fill brown paper bags with handheld snacks like popcorn, chips, or French fries. Your guests will thank you when a craving hits but they can’t seem to tear their eyes away from either the game, the halftime performance (I mean, it’s Gaga!), or the commercials.  If you’re feeling particularly adorable, use a black sharpie to decorate the bags with either the name of the snack or a football-related icon (football, goal post, etc.).

Your local craft store is sure to carry a variety of chalkboards that you can easily decorate to welcome your guests to the party. Jot down a fun sports quote or some good-natured team trash talking. You can also use the board to track bets for your Super Bowl pool.

Kraft Paper Table Runner

Grab a roll of kraft paper and cut enough to cover the primary table your guests will be using.  Decorate the paper with football plays or draw in yard lines to recreate the football field. We absolutely love this idea. It’s a fun way to decorate and it optimizes clean up. Take a look at how we brought this idea to life.

If you decide to use some or none of these tips, don’t stress! As long as you have some chilled bottles of Whiskey Girl on hand, nothing can go wrong. Happy Super Bowl!
